Titleist Ohio State Visor

Revenge of Sylvester

reserved Contribution to Class IV C.

The problem that I propose is a classic use of the concept of center of mass.
Consider a cage that contains, on a perch, the canary Tweety.
The cage is suspended from the ceiling by a spring and all Canary + Cage equilibrium is reached. Sylvester, now exasperated, takes aim and fires a gun Tweety shot to death. Tweety falls from its perch on the bottom of the cage. These are the questions:

1) During the fall of Tweety, the cage rises, falls or stays in the same position?

2) Once the canary is lying on the bottom of the cage and is back in balance, its position is lower, higher or unchanged compared to the previous case?

Good job.
